I remember sitting in the middle of the food court crying because it was the first time I realized Skylar could feed herself. I cried when she took her first steps. I yelped in excitement during a work meeting at the sight of it - and scared everyone on the call 😂 - but I cried after the call. And while she’s no calligrapher, I cried at watching my little baby learn to trace. I don’t know what it is about moms and those milestones. On one hand I’m so happy for her development, but on the other she’s becoming less of a baby. Yes we’re far away from her being super independent. I remember sitting in the middle of the food court crying because it was the first time I realized Skylar could feed herself.

I cried when she took her first steps. I yelped in excitement during a work meeting at the sight of it - and scared everyone on the call 😂 - but I cried after the call.

And while she’s no calligrapher, I cried at watching my little baby learn to trace.

I don’t know what it is about moms and those milestones. On one hand I’m so happy for her development, but on the other she’s becoming less of a baby. Yes we’re far away from her being super independent.
