Halloween is only a few weeks away, and there’s still time to prep. We may not be having parties this year, but that’s no reason to skimp on the details and decor. When it comes to seasonal decor (especially decor thats up for only a month), I try to do it the easiest and cheapest way possible. And since we know sometimes DIY isn’t as cheap as we hope, I’ve rounded up 7 of the absolute easiest and cheapest DIY projects I can find to help you bring a little haunt to your house.
Ghost Garland
You can easily make ghost garland with any white cloth (such as white rags, white yarn, old towels, even old sheets) for the ghosts, and ribbon. Use pipe cleaners to connect them for extra texture.
Mod Podge Pumpkin
All you need for this Halloween DIY is printed tissue or paper, and of course a pumpkin. Put a layer of Mod Podge, followed by the print paper you plan to use, and finished with a layer of Mod Podge. (via bitsofirma)
Drowning Witch Pumpkin
For this easy DIY, you will just need a pumpkin, some paint, white mesh (or even cotton filler material), wide ribbon for the witches legs, and dowels (or even coffee stirrers) to connect the legs to the pumpkin. (via The Honest Mother Hood)
Masked Portrait Gallery
PMQ for Two introduced me to this super easy DIY. All you’re doing is putting black masks on the eyes of portraits in your house. How you do it is completely up to you. But some of the easiest ways include using vinyl cutouts, printing them out or something as simple as using a black dry erase marker. (via PMQ for Two)
Mummy Pumpkins
All you need for this DIY is cloth of some type, dye (optional) and googly eyes. You can even consider painting the pumpkin or leaving it orange. For the cloth, recommendations include cheese cloth, gauze, or even old t-shirt material. Place the googly eyes first, then wrap the cloth and bind with some glue of your preference. Halloween Potion Bottles
Save those glass bottles. Those beer bottles. Those cold brew coffee bottles. And those spaghetti sauce bottles. Because with these FREE printable stickers from Hip2Save, you can have your own Halloween Potion (or Poison … mwah ha ha) Bottles. Use sticker paper for adhesives, or use regular printing paper and apply the stickers with Mod Podge. Have fun and go the extra mile by painting the bottles, adding glow in the dark sticks, or adding food coloring to some water. There’s still some time left so I may try this one myself. Bleeding Candles
This one is really easy. Get candles of at least two different colors. Use a lighter or some other heat source to melt one on top of the other. For some variety, use candles of different heights and consider keeping the melted candle in the decor as well. (via PopSugar)
